Baked tofu with miso sauce


1 cake tofu
1 tablespoon miso
2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup sliced scallions
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Slice the tofu into 10 pieces. Arrange the slices in two rows on a baking tray, with the tofu pieces overlapping one another.
Purée the miso, lemon juice and water in a suribachi and spoon the mixture over the tofu slices. Bake in a 180 degree oven for 15-20 minutes.
Slice the scallions. Lightly roast the sesame seeds and chop.
Remove the tofu from the oven and sprinkle the chopped scallions and sesame seeds over the tofu slices. Return to the oven and bake for another 2 minutes.
